Powering Business Transformation Through Technology Innovation
In this day and age organisations are moving beyond embracing innovative technologies. In order to drive business transformations organisations need to purse on technology innovation. This is distinct different. The emphasis in technology innovation is on value creation as a purpose and by design. While with innovative technologies, organisations are experimenting to find our if a technology creates business value.
Technology leaders are supposed to facilitate the transformation from embracing technologies into technology innovation. This innovation orchestration requires a more structure approach towards new technologies as well as a diligent innovation management and business alignment. In understanding the potential of innovative technologies balancing between building internal capabilities, leveraging ecosystems as well as forming partnerships is essential.
Perspective and ambition
This summit is about vision and leadership. The Innovation Summit 2026 on 14 April in the Theater aan de Parade at ’s-Hertogenbosch focusses on real world technology innovation success.
Obviously digital sovereignty and artificial intelligence (AI) will be addressing. For digital sovereignty we stress the need to support supply chain resilience. With regards to AI we focus on physical AI and the opportunities of edge computing as well as on AI portfolio management, for which we are taking the enterprise architecture perspective. Indirectly AI is also relevant for our focus on micro personalisation value creation. Also we invite you to think differently on next evolution of human interaction. Holography can bring people closer than ever before.
You are invited to contribute, as knowledge sharing is at the heart of this summit. Participating in the summit will enable you to guide your organisation to the next level by contributing and participating in business transformations and leading technology innovations. As a technology innovation leader you are powering the business transformation.
Recognition
As part of the CIO Magazine Innovation Awards, the Innovation Summit will also showcase the most significant innovations of the past year. The awards cover three categories: Most Innovative Leader, Most Innovative Ecosystem, and Most Innovative Start-up/Scale-up/Challenger.
Following the Innovation Summit, you are invited to the exclusive Dinnershow featuring nice food, engaging entertainment, and the opportunity to connect with other technology and innovation leaders in a relaxed setting. During the Dinnershow, the winners of the CIO Magazine Innovation Awards will be announced.
Attendance at the Innovation Summit is free for technology leaders. We are looking forward to welcome you at the Innovation Summit!

Break-out sessions
Beyond Screens: The Power of Holographic Connection
The next evolution of human interaction. Holography can bring people closer than ever before.
This breakout session explores how holographic communication is moving collaboration beyond flat screens into immersive, three-dimensional experiences. Real-time holograms are transforming the way teams meet, learn, design, and engage—creating presence, emotional connection, and impact that traditional video simply can’t match.
Practical use cases across business, education, events, and customer engagement, highlighting how holographic technology enables more natural conversations, richer storytelling, and stronger collaboration across distances. Understanding the technology behind holographic experiences, including real-time capture, network requirements, and integration with existing collaboration platforms, is important.
Digital Sovereignty Imperative: Building Cloud Independence Without Sacrificing Innovation
As data regulations tighten and geopolitical risks grow, digital sovereignty has become a strategic priority for profit-driven organisations. This breakout session explores how enterprises can retain control over their data, infrastructure, and digital assets while continuing to innovate at speed. This break-out session examine what digital sovereignty beyond compliance truly means for the private sector and why it is now a competitive advantage.
The break-out session will address how to design sovereign and hybrid cloud strategies that balance security, resilience, performance, and cost without locking innovation behind rigid boundaries. Through real-world examples, different approaches such as multi-cloud architectures, local data control, trusted ecosystems, and sovereign-by-design platforms will be addressed. The session will also address the trade-offs leaders face between global scale and regional control, and how to future-proof cloud investments.
Physical AI - the edge revolution
AI is leaving the cloud and entering the physical world. This breakout session explores how Physical AI. This AI is embedded in machines, devices, and environments. This is driving a new wave of innovation at the network edge. From smart factories and autonomous systems to intelligent retail, healthcare, and logistics, Physical AI enables real-time decision-making where speed, reliability, and context matter most.
In the break-out use cases on how edge computing, sensors, computer vision, robotics, and low-latency connectivity come together. It will present insight into why processing data closer to where it’s generated reduces latency, improves resilience, enhances privacy, and lowers cloud dependency. Through concrete examples, the break-out session will highlight how organisations are already unlocking value by combining AI with edge infrastructure and operational technology.
This session focusses on the technologies, opportunities, and strategic implications behind the edge revolution.
Supply Chain Collaboration in support of supply chain resilience - enhanced interfacing and data sharing in an ecosystem context
In an era of constant disruption, supply chain resilience depends on more than internal optimisation. This requires collaboration across the entire ecosystem. This breakout session explores how enhanced interfacing and secure data sharing between partners, suppliers, and customers can strengthen end-to-end supply chain visibility, agility, and resilience.
This break-out session will address how organisations can move from siloed operations to connected ecosystems by leveraging shared platforms, standardised interfaces, real-time data exchange, and trusted governance models. The session will highlight practical examples of collaborative planning, demand sensing, inventory visibility, and risk monitoring enabled through digital integration. These will be also a focus on how emerging technologies such as cloud platforms, APIs, IoT, and AI support faster decision-making while balancing transparency, security, and data ownership.
Corporate Development - Making Innovation a Career Path and Partnering
Innovation doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built through people, structure, and strong partnerships. This breakout session explores how corporate development can turn innovation into a clear career path while accelerating growth through strategic partnering. Learn how leading organisations attract, develop, and retain innovation talent by embedding entrepreneurship, venture thinking, and collaboration into their corporate DNA.
The break-out session will address how corporate development teams identify emerging opportunities, work with startups and ecosystems, and translate ideas into scalable business outcomes. The session will highlight practical models for partnering, co-creation, and venture collaboration, as well as the skills and mindsets needed to build a career at the cross-roads of strategy, innovation, and execution. The break out session also provides insight into how innovation roles can evolve beyond experimentation into measurable value creation.
AI portfolio management - an enterprise architecture perspective
As AI initiatives rapidly multiply across organisations, the challenge is no longer experimentation, coordination, scale, and value realisation are key. This breakout session helps organisations move from scattered pilots to a coherent, business-driven AI strategy.
The break-out session addresses how enterprise architects can structure, govern, and prioritise AI use cases across domains. It is important to balance innovation speed with security, compliance, and technical sustainability. The session will cover key topics such as aligning AI initiatives with business capabilities, managing data and platform dependencies, avoiding redundant solutions, and integrating AI into existing application landscapes. In this, architectural guardrails enable faster, safer innovation rather than slowing it down.
Mirco Personalisation Value Creation
Personalisation has evolved far beyond simple segmentation. This breakout session explores how micro personalisation enables organisations to create meaningful, individual-level experiences that directly translate into business value. Personalisation is driven by AI, data, and real-time insights. Organisations are moving from broad targeting to highly contextual, moment-based interactions across digital and physical touchpoints.
Advanced analytics, machine learning, and behavioral data powering micro personalisation in areas such as customer experience, pricing, recommendations, and service optimisation. The session will also address the balance between personalisation and trust, stressing the importance of data governance, privacy, and ethical AI. Micro personalisation increases engagement, loyalty, conversion, and lifetime value.
