SUMMARY:Highly Resilient Organizations Session 2: From visibility to agility — Advancing security and governance across emerging technologies
DESCRIPTION:In today’s threat landscape\, resilience is not optional—it’s strategic. That’s why we’re launching a focused research initiative for CISOs within High Resilient Organizations: those leading the way in preparing for emerging risks like quantum threats\, cryptographic exposure\, and complex supply chain dependencies. This study explores how resilient organizations manage digital risk\, build cryptographic agility\, and strengthen incident response. Participants receive early access to benchmark data\, peer insights\, and an executive-ready report tailored to board-level decision-making. Help define what cyber resilience looks like in 2025 and beyond. Join the study or request the insights firsthand. \nSpeaker for this second session: \n \nThe second speaker for this session will be announced soon.  \nFrom visibility to agility — Advancing security and governance across emerging technologies \nEmerging technologies—including generative AI\, low-code development\, edge computing and quantum are reshaping digital infrastructure. These innovations drive competitive advantage\, but they also introduce new risks\, regulatory uncertainty and governance complexity. Many organizations struggle to maintain visibility and control as adoption differs from traditional security frameworks. \nForward-thinking CISO’s are now changing their approach: from enforcing static controls to enabling agile\, risk-aligned innovation. This requires new models for discovery\, accountability and technology governanc\, spanning both near-term operational technologies like AI and long-horizon shifts like Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC). \nDiscussion Topics: \n\nHow are CISOs and technology leaders gaining visibility into the adoption of emerging technologies (e.g. AI\, edge computing\, PQC) across hybrid\, decentralized environments?\nWhat business or regulatory triggers (e.g.\, AI compliance\, critical infrastructure risk\, crypto lifecycle concerns) are driving governance efforts?\nAre emerging technology risks managed through centralized innovation or risk programs\, or embedded into product and business unit delivery teams?\nHow are organizations framing the business impact of emerging technology risks at the executive and board level\, balancing innovation enablement with long-term resilience?\nHow to manage risks tied to generative AI\, cryptographic modernization (PQC)\, or edge-based decision-making?This roundtable session is part of the Highly Resilient Organizations Program led by Research Supervisor Suzanne Janse.Do you want to join? Sign up now!P.s. DESCRIPTION:CIODAY2024 is all about: \n\nThe evolution and development of CIOs and other tech leaders over time\nAchieving desired business outcomes with data and technology\nBalancing risk appetite and opportunities against security and stability\nFuture perspectives for technology leaders in general\n\nAt CIODAY2024\, we bridge the past and present to shape our future. We’ll delve into three crucial meta-categories – technological\, economic\, and social/environmental – highlighting key milestones on the timeline. From service orientation to modularity\, pre-credit crisis to post-covid\, and operational excellence to value-oriented agility. Or other trends – it’s partly up to you! \nWhich companies and leaders have reached great heights? What peaks or dips characterized their success? Who faltered during the same period and\, more importantly\, what can we learn from their experiences for today and tomorrow? Which companies are ideally designed for growth? Who has the technology\, organization\, and guiding principles perfectly in place? What can you do to achieve this yourself as a tech leader?\nThe fact is and remains; it is always about a balance between risk appetite\, resilience\, speed\, agility\, security\, architecture\, and the correct handling of all new technological possibilities and business opportunities. To be an adaptive company tomorrow\, you have to take action today!

SUMMARY:How do you ethically adopt AI in sensitive data handling?
DESCRIPTION:How can we responsibly implement AI to handle sensitive data? \nAs AI use is becoming ubiquitous in large enterprises\, many executives have been asking themselves this question\, including Martin Woodward\, Director of Global Legal and Head of Tech Legal at Randstad. As one of the largest HR companies worldwide\, Randstad is keen to adopt AI ethically\, responsibly\, and safely\, compliant with regional rules and regulations. \nAre you considering implementing AI technology in your business processes? How do you assess the risk of bringing this technology into your business? How do you decide which technologies to allow and for whom? Or\, have your employees taken matters into their own hands\, and are already using these tools? What visibility do you have into this today? \nOn November 5th\, we will organize a roundtable discussion featuring Martin Woodward\, who will explain how the HR giant is addressing these issues. One thing is clear: all relevant business lines must be involved. “AI governance is a team effort\,” Martin says. James Tucker\, Head of CISO\, International at Zscaler\, will elaborate on how they help Randstad protect their valuable assets. \nAre you interested? RSVP for this roundtable session and gain valuable insights. \nReserve your seat!

SUMMARY:Digital Growth Summit 2024
DESCRIPTION:Digital Growth Summit 2024\nNavigating digital growth and constraints\nHow to create a results-driven organization\, designed for growth? How to implement and manage modern intelligent technology in the context of threats and constraints such as cybersecurity\, risk\, and liability? \nIn a world where technology is rapidly evolving and creating breakthroughs\, and where challenges and threats are increasing\, the question becomes ever more relevant: how do you build a truly adaptive and high-performance digital organization? \nWe face significant developments in technological\, social\, economic\, geopolitical\, environmental\, and health areas. Additionally\, we must navigate the dilemmas of addressing current pain or focusing on future gain. How do CxOs address these dilemmas in an integrated way? \nRisk appetite\nShort-term business outcomes and long-term growth are crucial. Transformations on operational\, business\, and organizational levels are inevitable. Elements such as continuous improvement\, sustainability\, liability\, investments\, innovation\, exploration\, ways of working\, smartness\, workforce\, capabilities\, and diversity all play a significant role. Solid and secure\, with a well-balanced appetite for risk. \nThis is why we are hosting this additional October summit\, focusing on three main tracks: business\, technology\, and the domain of known and unknown threats and constraints. All within a program designed to foster discussion\, debate\, and learning from one another.

SUMMARY:High-Performance Healthcare Program (sessie 5)

SUMMARY:CISODAY2024: Stepping out of the Shadows
DESCRIPTION:The new network event for Dutch information security officers in business\, government\, and everything in between\, CISODAY aims to bring together cybersecurity leaders to share ideas\, use cases\, and best practices in an informal but luxurious setting. As the highlight of the event\, we will announce the first-ever CISO of the Year award. \nTimes have changed\, and with it\, the world of cybersecurity has evolved to include highly specialized roles and solutions. The security of infrastructure\, systems\, and data should be every organization’s top priority. Consequently\, the CISO role should no longer report to the CIO but to the CEO instead. The CISO community Nederland aims to give cybersecurity leaders the recognition that they deserve. The CISO should step out of the shadows! \nThat’s why we dedicate one day of the year to celebrate the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). If you are a CISO or have a leading role in cybersecurity\, and you work in either business or government\, we invite you to join us for the first CISODAY next year. Together\, we can work toward improving cyber maturity in the Netherlands.

SUMMARY:Sustainable Performance Organizations (sessie 4)
DESCRIPTION:Sustainability is a hot topic in Large Enterprise organizations. The five topics of sustainability – climate change\, sustainable finance\, responsible investment\, sustainable value chain\, and sustainable workforce – are becoming part of the day-to-day business execution. \nThe High-Performance program SPO aims to offer participants a path to a more sustainable environment\, focussing on both digital sustainability (cost efficiency) and business sustainability (value). The program not only focusses on energy from the use of technology\, but also on the (re)use of raw materials to produce appliances. Based on use cases\, we explore possibilities and provide insights into the impact. \nThe purpose of this program is to provide C-level executives and sustainability officers with practical insights and tools they can apply in their daily work to implement sustainability as an integral part of their business. The program aims to do this by sharing knowledge and experiences. \nTo add scientific and objective value\, the SPO program is moderated by Prof. dr. Erik Beulen. \nRegister now!

SUMMARY:Workshop Sustainable Performance Organizations: how IT can contribute to sustainability
DESCRIPTION:Thursday 18 January | 12.00 – 17.00 H | Utrecht \nWe need to make the change! However\, organizations need to balance between (short-term) financial targets and sustainability. Incorporating “true” costs in decision-making is essential. This Sustainable Performance Organizations program will provide actionable guidance on how Information Technology can contribute to sustainability. \nThe guidance will go beyond green Information Technology and greening by Information Technology. This study will help Chief Sustainability Officers and Chief Information Officers\, as well as Chief Digital Officers and Chief Technology Officers\, to understand each other’s needs and enable to explore opportunities for their organizations jointly. In the context of legislation\, such as CSRD\, the role of the Chief Financial Officer and risk management will be addressed in the report. \nIn the upcoming session on 18 January\, we will start exploring the following points: \n\nHow to set sustainability priorities?\nThe need for robust sustainability reporting platforms – e.g.\, replacing Excel spreadsheets\, as well as addressing measuring challenges\nImpact of (and responsibility for) data quality – in the context of the large volumes of unstructured data that need to be processed for the sustainability reporting\nIs ethical use of data a topic that is owned by the Chief Sustainability Officer? Most likely not; nevertheless\, input from the Chief Sustainability Officer for the data rule board is welcome\nHow to procure sustainable IT services and IT devices? Defining and weighting of sustainability criteria – 50%?\nWhat capabilities are required to leverage Information Technology in driving sustainability?\nHow to deal with current sustainability legislation and anticipate future sustainability legislation?\n\nWe will start the afternoon with a short presentation by Erik Beulen\, a professor at Manchester University\, in which he will provide an overview of KPIs for green Information Technology and an overview of best practices for greening by Information Technology. After that\, we will explore one or more use cases! \nWill we see you on January 18? \nLocation: Utrecht \nTime: 12.00-17.00 pm. \nRegistration link: https://ictmedia.typeform.com/to/Ht75duhx

SUMMARY:Workshopsessie: Uitbesteden\, ja of nee?
\nAanmeldlink: https://ictmedia.typeform.com/to/R29acNHK

SUMMARY:Data sharing in value chains – HPDO session 4
DESCRIPTION:This year\, the High-Performance Digital Organisations (HPDO) program focuses on end-to-end value journeys. In this research study\, we want to discover the significance of data sharing. We will study the implications of Digital Transformations. How to transform operating and business models? How to approach collaboration and partnering? \nData is at the heart of digital transformations and requires data sharing in organizations and value chains. Many organizations are on the right track regarding sharing data in organizations\, but sharing data in value chains is more challenging for many organizations. Organizations must enable data (re)use\, facilitate data democratization\, and ensure secure data processing as an integral part of cyber security across end-to-end value journeys. \nDigital transformation drives client-focused changes in operation\, organization\, and business models and require collaboration and partnering. Adopting new technologies is no longer the biggest challenge for organizations\, as most organizations have embraced modular IT. Although many organizations are making baby steps in adopting and implementing artificial intelligence\, a critical enabler in any digital transformation and data sharing in end-to-end value journeys.

\n  \nInschrijven
